Sabatino Auricchio came to Las Vegas to retire, but the former owner of Satelite Pizza on Long Island in New York believed he could still make a great pizza, especially his famous Giant Pizza, and he was correct. The Giant Pizza ($39.99) is as big as a Roman shield (30 inches in diameter), and special designs can be made for celebrations and sporting events. For most of us, the regular or deep-dish pies that come out of Sabatino's wood-fired brick oven should suffice. All the regular toppings are available, along with cauliflower, zucchini, barbecue chicken, bacon and mixed cold cuts. Appetizers include mozzarella or zucchini sticks, antipasto and garlic knots. There are half-pound burgers, sandwiches (Philly steak and sausage, peppers and onions), cold and toasted subs and cold and hot heroes. Among the pasta dinners are spaghetti, chicken cacciatore, pasta with red or white clam sauce, ravioli and chicken Parmigiana. Other entrees are rotisserie chicken, mussels, shrimp or calamari marinara over pasta, baby back ribs and fried shrimp. Bambini's is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
